If you are sick of Cessnock’s morning and afternoon traffic nightmare, please sign this petition.

 

With so much positive development in our City in recent years, the traffic nightmare along Wollombi and Maitland roads is growing worse.  

 

Council has a solution - it’s called the Cessnock ring-road which would take residential traffic out of the CBD. It will get you to work and home again more quickly.

 

The ring-road won’t be cheap and we’ll need Federal and State Government funding. Our local MPs support us but we can’t apply for money until we have a more detailed design proposal, that also costs money.

 

Unfortunately some - including one Councillor - believe the design will be a waste of money. Your Labor team believes it will be money well spent.  The ring-road will also be crucial for future positive growth in our City.

 

Please sign our petition so that we can get the design done and work towards securing the money we need to busy the daily Maitland and Wollombi roads traffic jams and further vitalise our town.
